On Tuesday, September 24, the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center announced the exciting lineup of national artists participating in Artists and Afros, the inaugural fine art show celebrating the intersection of African American art and culture. Taking place on October 5th & 6th, Artists and Afros will showcase a stunning collection of paintings, sculptures, and mixed media works that pay homage to the rich history and contributions of the Black community. With new artists joining, this event promises to be a spectacular celebration of culture and creativity. During the press conference, featured speakers included Sadiqa Reynolds, president and founder of the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center; Cathy Shannon and Walter Shannon, owners of E&S Gallery; Shauntrice Martin, founder of OKIKE; and a representative from the Speed Art Museum.
