As part of Black Business Month, the Louisville Urban League will host the Black Business Expo, sponsored by Louisville Public Media at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center this Saturday, August 3 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This premier event celebrates entrepreneurship and innovation and aims to connect, inspire, and empower Black business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders across the region.

The Black Business Expo is free and open to the public and will showcase a diverse range of businesses and services, offering a platform for local entrepreneurs to highlight their contributions to the economy and community as well as a fun place for the community to gather. The expo will feature more than 70 vendors and exhibitors, including emerging startups and established companies, as well as a panel discussions, fashion show, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and growth.

“We are thrilled to host the Black Business Expo at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center,” said Cynthia Brown, Louisville Urban League Manager Director of Black Business Initiatives.  “This event is a celebration of the incredible talent and innovation within our community. It’s also an opportunity to address the challenges and opportunities that Black entrepreneurs face, and to provide them with the resources they need to succeed.”

Highlights of the Black Business Expo include:

  • Exhibitor Showcase: Featuring a wide range of products and services available to purchase from local Black-owned businesses.
  • Workshops & Panels: Expert-led sessions on topics such as business development, financial management, and inspirational talks from successful business leaders and visionaries.
  • Networking Opportunities: A chance to connect with industry leaders, fellow entrepreneurs, and community members.
  • Fashion Show: Hosted by popular local radio personality Bella Rae, guest can enjoy a runway show featuring designs of several local businesses.
  • Recognition: Awards and recognition for successes in the Black business community

The event is free open to the public and will run from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights, make meaningful connections, and support the growth of Black-owned businesses in the region.
