Louisville, Ky. (January 16, 2025) - The Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center will play host to three action-packed days of indoor track and field this weekend, kicking off with the Bellarmine Open on Friday, January 17, followed by the first-ever MLK Weekend Invite on Saturday and Sunday, January 18-19. All three days of action kick off at 10 am and will feature more than 3,000 athletes. 

The weekend promises thrilling competition across multiple age groups, featuring elite talent, from high school athletes to masters' competitors.

Bellarmine Open
Friday, January 17, will see a full-slate of events at the Bellarmine Open, hosted by Bellarmine University. This highly anticipated collegiate event will showcase athletes from across the region and will set the tone for an action-packed weekend.

MLK Weekend Invite
Saturday and Sunday will spotlight the MLK Weekend Invite, a two-day event honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and celebrating the spirit of competition and unity.

  • Saturday will feature approximately 1,500 high school athletes from across Kentucky and surrounding states, bringing their best performances to the track in pursuit of personal and team glory.

  • Sunday will open its doors to athletes of all ages, with events ranging from elementary school competitors to masters athletes, allowing individuals of all abilities and experience levels to participate and showcase their talent.

This inaugural event promises to be a dynamic weekend of community engagement, sportsmanship, and top-tier athletic performances.
