Louisville, Ky. (January 22, 2025) - The Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center is set to host a thrilling week with five consecutive indoor track meets, bringing together some of the best track and field talent from the region and across the United States. The action will begin on Wednesday, January 22 and continue through Monday, January 27 with a full slate of exciting competitions.
 
The schedule of events includes:

  • JCPS High School Wednesdays – Wednesday, January 22, 2025
  • PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic – Friday, January 24, 2025
  • Louisville Indoor Games – Saturday, January 25, 2025
  • Southeast Showdown – Sunday, January 26, 2025
  • JCPS Middle School Mondays – Monday, January 27, 2025 

The JCPS High School Wednesday event kicks off a new series of weekday meets hosted by Jefferson County Public Schools to give local athletes more opportunities to compete in the growing sport of indoor track. The district is hosting several Wednesday meets throughout the season.
 
The PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic will be a key event in this exciting run of events, featuring a competitive lineup of 19 universities and colleges from across the nation, including 10 from Kentucky. The list of competing schools includes: Bellarmine (Host), Ball State, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky University, Evansville, Morehead State University, Northern Kentucky University, University of Southern Indiana, Western Kentucky University, Wright State, Xavier, Campbellsville, Cumberlands, Hanover, Midway, Spalding, Transylvania and University of Illinois Springfield and Vincennes. Several of the athletes competing are preparing for the ASUN Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will take place at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center on Thursday - Friday, February 27-28, 2025.
 
Among the highlights of this action-packed week is the fifth annual Louisville Indoor Games, one of the premier indoor track and field events in the region. Scheduled for Saturday, January 25, the event is expected to draw over 1,400 high school athletes from more than 150 schools across eight states.
 
“The fifth annual Louisville Indoor Games is shaping up to be another great track and field event,” said Greg Fante, President & CEO of the Louisville Sports Commission. “We expect to see more than 1,400 high school athletes representing 150 schools and eight states this weekend. Having a world-class facility such as the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center enables these athletes to compete at the highest level, and we’re excited to see what they will accomplish on Saturday.”
 
Returning for its fourth year, the Southeast Showdown is cementing its place as one of the top indoor track meets in the southeast.
 
"Knoxville Youth Athletics has developed a reputation of putting on quality events at quality venues and the Southeast Showdown has transformed over the past five years into one of the top events on the calendar in the southeast,” said Chris Kane, Associate Director and Event Manager for Knoxville Youth Athletics. “Athletes from Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and eleven other states around the Southeast and Midwest. The reason come to this meet is its on-time, competitive and its on a top notch track at NHSLC. The meet is well rounded and strong in many areas but especially in the distance events featuring several athletes who qualified for FLN or NXN."
