Designed by the acclaimed Mondo and Kiefer, who have created tracks for the last ten Olympic Games, this facility boasts the fastest indoor track surface, making it a premier venue for top-tier athletic competition. The center accommodates nearly 2,800 grandstand seats along the west side and over 1,200 additional bleacher seats on the east side of the track.
All fifteen ACC schools are expected to participate, drawing approximately 1,200 athletes, coaches, and support staff, along with an estimated 2,400 spectators. This high-profile event is anticipated to generate a significant economic impact of $2.7 million for the local community.
“We’re excited to have the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships back at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in March 2025,” said Louisville Sports Commission President & CEO Greg Fante. “We were happy to have facilitated a meeting between ACC and ASUN leadership that enabled them to coordinate their championship tournament dates. This resulted in Louisville hosting two back-to-back premier track and field events – the ASUN Indoor Track and Field Championship in February, followed by the ACC in March.”
Additionally, Marcus McAlpin, AGM of the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center, expressed his excitement about the event, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships back to our facility.
