Louisville, Ky. (June 12, 2024) – Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center is kicking off the summer with a variety of exciting events for the community to enjoy. Below are some of the happenings over the next week at the facility.
Wednesday, June 12 and Friday, June 14 - Rhythm & Eats
Every Wednesday and Friday from 11 am to 1 pm throughout the summer, the facility will host Rhythm & Eats. This new midday treat includes vibrant tunes and delicious eats every Wednesday and Friday from 11 am to 1 pm. Guests can stop, grab a bite to eat and enjoy the sounds of talented local artists. This event is sponsored by Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center in partnership with Erica Denise Entertainment. The event is free to attend and food is available to purchase.
Wednesday, June 12, Monday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 19 - West Louisville Soccer Club Tryouts
Are you ready to kick-start your soccer journey with West Louisville Soccer Club? Lace up your cleats and join us for soccer club tryouts. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, West Louisville Soccer Club is all about fostering talent, teamwork, and most importantly, having fun. Saturday, June 15 - Race4Justice
The JCPS student-led Future Ancestors group is bringing the Race4Justice to the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center for the third consecutive year on Saturday, June 15 from 8 am to noon. This year’s event will raise money for the 300 for 300, A Stroke of Grace, and Pushing Forward. In their first two years, the Future Ancestors raised almost $50,000 for nine local non-profits partners, and they hope to see a large increase in these contributions for this year's race.
Monday, June 17 - Saturday, June 22 - USTA National Championships
The United States Trampoline & Tumbling Association (USTA) is thrilled to announce that the National Championships will be hosted at the state-of-the-art Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Kentucky. From June 17th to June 22nd, 2024, athletes from across the nation will gather to showcase their prowess in trampoline and tumbling disciplines. The event will feature more than 130 teams from across the United States with 2,300 athletes competing in nearly 5,400 events. Events include tumbling, trampoline, and double-mini trampoline. Athletes span in age from 2 to 33 years old, with skill levels ranging from beginner to elite. Competition will begin at 8:00 a.m. each day and at approximately 5:00 p.m.
